Tips You Might Need!
-
For Countersinking
After countersinking, check the fit of the screw. The head should sit flush or slightly below the surface. Remove any burrs or rough edges with a deburring tool or sandpaper to achieve a clean finish. Maintenance is also key: keep your countersink bits sharp and clean. Dull bits can cause rough cuts and require more force, increasing the risk of mistakes.
-
For Drilling
Applying the right amount of pressure is crucial. Too much pressure can cause the drill bit to bind or break, while too little pressure can result in inefficient drilling and excessive wear on the bit. It's best to apply steady, even pressure and let the drill do the work. If you're drilling through thick or hard materials, periodically withdraw the bit to clear out debris and reduce heat buildup.
-
For Polishing
Attach the polishing brush to your power tool and set it to a moderate speed. High speeds can cause the polish to splatter and may overheat the metal. Hold the tool firmly and move the brush over the metal surface in a consistent, overlapping pattern. Apply light to moderate pressure, letting the brush and polish do the work.
